About Me
I'm a marketing professional, social worker, author of the memoir,The Pornographer's Daughter (Skyhorse Publishing, 2014), and co-screenwriter for In Deep, a TV drama series based on my book.
I started my career as a social worker and parlayed my interest in improving people's lives into legislative and communications work on Capitol Hill. I have also served in marketing and communications roles at corporate start-ups, non-profit organizations and advocacy organizations dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues, providing online graduate degrees and continuing education and improving policies to support behavioral health providers.
I currently work for the Columbia School of Social Work in the field education department supporting the online campus. I was a marketing consultant who focused on providing services to non-profit organizations and personal brand coaching for social workers and human services professionals. I have written articles and blogs for Huffington Post, New York Journal of Books, Thrillist, ELLE Magazine (Australia), NASW News and Social Work Today. I wrote a bi-monthly personal branding column Your Social Work Brand (#YourSWBrand) for New Social Worker Magazine. I was a contributor to The Daily Beast and published articles about the adult industry and the controversy surrounding pornography. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Columbia University with a Master of Science in Social Work Degree.
